a new favorite venue of mine, ralston white retreat is tucked into the slope of mount tamalpais, a hidden gem at the end of a short mountain road from mill valley. there is so much to take in... a 100+ year old house with 16 bedrooms and panoramic views, gardens, and adjacent redwood forest with walking paths and connecting trails to the top of mt tam. it's perfect for hosting a wedding weekend and spending lots of time relaxing with all your friends and family.
gina and scott did exactly that. they spent the whole weekend doing things they love outdoors and celebrating the way they wanted, which included a whiskey tasting with their bests, bbq dinner, and late-night dance party. their ceremony was held on the giant heart shaped lawn, which i learned was part of the property's original design (100 years before it became a wedding venue), conceived by the owners ralston and ruth white as a proclamation of their love for each other. gina and scott were glowing in their own love, so clearly elated to be marrying each other. the day was filled with teary-eyed moments and a lot of laughter from start to end.
gina and her mom were the talented creatives behind all the florals. her hair by keshawn prince and dress by jenny yoo. coordinated by their friend michelle hatsushi.
if you're searching for similar nature retreat type venues in northern california, here are a few more of my past favorites: rachel + gina at venture retreat center, lea + tristan at highland dell lodge, erica + tom at redwood ranch
