Sometimes the most memorable parts of a wedding day are the smallest moments of delight, like being lovingly greeted in the parking lot by smiling uncles and friends making flower arrangements together. And then later, witnessing the profound relationship between said uncles and their niece on her wedding day.
Also delightful was feeling transported to the English countryside while still a few minutes drive to the foggy (on this rare day, sunny!) California coast. I was completely charmed by the cozy, mystical aura of The Pelican Inn and its dim, wood-beamed tavern with British pub food and candlelit glow. It was pure JOY to spend a day there, among ivy vines and English antiques, documenting the wedding of two beautiful humans and celebrating alongside their community.
Shout out to Andrea and the entire Pelican Inn staff for being the most friendly and lovely people to work with! For smaller, intimate weddings and candlelit dinner parties, I wholeheartedly recommend this sweet spot, especially because of the folks who’ll take good care of you, and its proximity to Muir Beach.
I’m grateful for these kind words from L + A about their experience working with me: “If you're looking for a wedding photographer, I couldn't speak more highly about Rachelle and her work. She is kind, patient, organized and easy to work with. Her presence on our wedding day was warm and calming, and the photographs we received are beyond our wildest dreams. My partner and I wanted to forgo highly posed images, focusing instead on being present on our special day together. Aside from a few family pictures, everything Rachelle captured was candid and of the moment - all the beauty of our day just as it happened. Her process left us with the freedom to enjoy our wedding fully, and reliving the experience through her pictures has been a true gift.” [see more reviews here]
