Olema House Wedding in Point Reyes, California

I could document weddings near Point Reyes every weekend and it would never get old. I'm not even a big fan of oysters. It’s simply a magical, serene place that’s full of water energy from both Tomales Bay and the nearby ocean. Being there feels grounding and calming, which I think makes a pretty amazing environment to get married.

Queer couple's family and friends cheer at the end of their wedding ceremony near the Olema House in Point Reyes

When Carmen and Chels first reached out to me, they said their priorities were sharing time with the people they love and eating delicious food. They retained that intention with a ceremony that embodied a deep sense of community and queer joy, followed by a farm-to-table meal on the creekside patio at Olema House

They found a tranquil, scenic spot for their ceremony overlooking Heart's Desire Beach in Tomales Bay State Park. It was such a hidden gem, tucked into nature while still accessible from the nearby parking lot, with stunning water and park views in all directions. For people looking into a more DIY style ceremony at a state or national park, this is an incredible and very doable spot!

I adored Carmen and Chels from the moment we met, and loved how they so beautifully weaved the significance of being queer into their vows and relationship. I cried multiple times that day, including an emotional moment with their mom after the toasts.

I’m grateful for their words upon receiving their gallery: "The photos are absolutely stunning, we are floored!! We love them so, so much. You are amazing both as a human and a photographer and we're so honored to have had you share and capture this day."
