This foggy day in Mendocino was the perfect blend of laid-back and fun. Meeting Taylor and Arjun on the morning of their wedding was like running into old friends who were excited to catch up on life and just happened to be getting married. That’s how super chill and sweet they were. From hanging out while they got ready to the end of the night, it was pure joy to be in the company of these two and their entire community.
Spring Ranch is an amazing all-in-one venue and nature immersed retreat. It’s a 10 minute walk to the ocean, a 5 minute drive to the quaint town of Mendocino, and surrounded by nature preserve. There are several options for lodging that are charming, cozy, and within sight of the event areas yet still private and tucked away. I love these kinds of venues that really let you sink into a place and spend more time together. (These days I gravitate towards documenting full wedding weekends and appreciate the deeper connection and spaciousness that they allow… I offer flexible multi-day packages if this resonates with you.)
Taylor and Arjun’s eucalyptus grove ceremony was true to their values and love for the outdoors, while also including chosen elements from their Jewish and Indian heritages. Immediately after, Taylor switched into hiking books and I followed them across the street to one of the trails leading to the bluffs of Van Damme State Park. Highly recommend these short trails if you’re in the area! Dinner and the rest of the celebration was joyful and stress-free, ending with all of us on the dance floor. :)
